The Michael-Anthony Foundation provides programming that enriches community by empowering individuals via global travel, cultural education and the arts.
The Michael-Anthony Foundation was formed soon after Michael’s passing as a way to honor Anthony’s late husband Michael Smith’s wishes to continue to have impact in the community even beyond his death. The Foundation works to impact the community in three specific ways:
They Michael-Anthony Foundation creates and sponsors programming that achieves their mission of supporting and encouraging international travel, supporting education and work-life balance in individual lives.
To date, the Foundation has already sponsored dozens of passports and free concert experiences. We donated $2500 scholarships in Michael’s name; the Michael Smith Legacy Award of Excellence in partnership with The Gentlemen’s Foundation.
Through Michael Smith’s trust and with his husband Anthony’s guidance, Michael Smith's Trust has donated over $250,000 to community organizations, from The Trevor Project to United Way of Atlanta to Sheltering Arms – an organization whose board Michael served on for over a decade.
Our goal is for every person in community to have a passport to travel. We also want every individual in community to understand the importance of cultural and formal education while maintaining a work-life balance with enjoyable entertainment experiences like concerts. Please consider making a donation at the link below to help us continue this work.
